At DevoKo, your privacy is absolute.
DevoKo is built ground-up as an offline-first application. The app does not collect, transmit, track, or store any personal information, analytics, or user telemetry on remote servers. All reading streaks, devotional progress, user display name, and settings stay strictly on your local device.
1. Information DevoKo Does Not Collect
Because DevoKo runs completely locally on your hardware, it never requests or stores:
- Names (other than your locally stored display name), email addresses, or contact information
- Location data, IP addresses, or network activity
- Device identifiers, biometric data, or telemetry
- Cloud user profiles or remote analytical metrics
2. Local Data Storage
All data created while using DevoKo—including quiet time streaks, devotional progress, user display name, and app preferences—is saved exclusively in your device's local sandbox storage (SharedPreferences/SQLite).
If you uninstall the app or clear app data from your OS settings, your local data will be permanently removed. Lost local data cannot be recovered remotely as there are no cloud backups.
3. Third-Party Services & Analytics
DevoKo contains zero third-party SDKs, tracking pixels, or advertising frameworks. It does not partner with ad networks or data brokers.
4. App Permissions
DevoKo requests minimal system permissions strictly necessary for local functionality:
- Local Notifications / Alarms: Used solely to trigger your configured Quiet Time reminders.
5. Children's Privacy
DevoKo does not collect any personal data, making it compliant with child protection regulations (COPPA, GDPR children clauses). DevoKo is safe for use by individuals of all ages.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top. Since DevoKo is offline without cloud accounts, you may check this policy occasionally for updates.
