1. Use of Google User Data

Aninara uses official YouTube API Services to feature animation video catalogues, creator channel details, and enable direct channel subscriptions.

By using Aninara, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

We will use your Google user data strictly to provide you with the services you requested within the Aninara application. Specifically:

• Google Profile Data (openid, email, profile): We use your Google user data (name, email address, profile picture) solely to authenticate your account and manage your secure login session.
• YouTube Permissions (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl): We use your YouTube data strictly to fetch your current subscription status for featured animation channels (`GET /v3/subscriptions`) and to allow you to subscribe (`POST /v3/subscriptions`) or unsubscribe (`DELETE /v3/subscriptions`) to creators on YouTube directly from within the Aninara media player at your explicit request.

2. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure of Data

We value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy regarding Google user data:

• No Third-Party Sharing or Sale: We will not sell, rent, or trade your Google user data to third parties under any circumstances. We do not share Google user data with advertisers, data brokers, or commercial partners.
• No Purpose-Mismatched Transfers: We do not transfer or disclose your Google user data to third parties for purposes other than the ones explicitly provided and requested by you (providing and maintaining the Aninara application features).

3. Data Protection & Security Mechanisms

Security procedures and industry-standard technical safeguards are in place to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your Google user data:

• Encryption in Transit & at Rest: We use strong encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS) to protect all information during transmission. OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-GCM (256-bit) authenticated encryption.
• Secure Cookies: Session tokens are delivered via encrypted, HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax cookies to prevent unauthorized browser access or cross-site request forgery.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your Google user data only for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes and needed to fulfill your active user session:

• Retention Period: We store your session information for up to 30 days of active use. When the data retention period expires for a given session, we automatically delete and destroy it from our database.
• Immediate Session Deletion: When you click "Log Out" in Aninara, your active session and encrypted OAuth tokens are immediately destroyed from our server database.
• Requesting Data Deletion: You may request complete deletion of any stored user session data at any time by emailing our support team. You can also revoke Aninara's access to your Google Account at any time via the Google Account Security Page.

5. Device Storage (Watchlists & Favorites)

To make saving videos convenient without needing external database storage for your bookmarks, Aninara uses your web browser's local device storage (localStorage). This includes:

• My Watchlist & Favorites: Saved directly on your phone or computer so you can access your favorite animations easily.

This data stays strictly on your personal device. You can clear these records anytime by clearing your browser site data.

6. Embedded YouTube Player

Videos on Aninara are played using standard YouTube embedded players. Playback, views, and ad support are counted directly on YouTube toward the original animator's channel. Aninara does not insert third-party popup ads into the video player.

7. Children's Privacy

Aninara does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 and operates in compliance with standard online privacy guidelines.
